To My Subscribers
I apologize for the lack of communication since my last newsletter in September. I lost interest in working on the website for a while. Then I started to receive miscellaneous emails from website viewers who found an interest in what information I had provided. With that, my interest has been renewed and I am going to continue working on the website.
New Project 1
My new project is to translate the Molyneux Families History by Nellie Zada Rice Molyneux. I am simply going to start at the beginning and depict all the family trees. Based on the numbering system used by Ms. Molyneux, I will depict the various trees as presented by her.
In the MxWorld Newsletter by Marie Mullenneix Spearman, there has been a recent discussion regarding some of the data presented in Ms. Molyneux's book. Considering how Ms. Molyneux was able to acquire data during the late 1800's and early 1900's it is quite possible for some inaccuracies.
For this reason, I thought I would present the entire text in tree form and let people see for themselves. Then if someone should have new data to present, I can add it to the website and my newsletter.
New Project 2
As stated earlier, I have received emails from people who have seen my family tree. They have volunteered to provide their Molyneux family tree to be added to mine to help show a connection. These connections are why I started the website.
Hopefully, Project 1, will help others see the entire tree as presented and perhaps gain a better insight and be able to connect their trees.
New Project 3
I encourage all viewers to make suggestions regarding the website and the data I present. Hopefully, I can make the website reflect what others would like to see. Therefore, if you would like to have news and information presented, I will set up a section for "Viewer News". It should be related to Molyneux information that others would find interesting, including family reunions. It does not have to be only "Molyneux" families, but all spellings of our names.
New Project 4
Family crest. As mentioned on the website, our family discovered we have been using the incorrect crest. My great-grandmother had chosen the Irish branch not realizing we are of the English branch. Therefore, I have decided to take the crest from the Molyneux History and prepare an oil painting on parchment just as currently depicted on the website. I will do some research to determine if the same colors can be used. As I go through the book for posting all the trees to the website (Project 1), I hope to learn what colors should be used based on the initial intent of the crests creator.
Conclusion
I will post all this information to the website so all viewers will know my new plans. I will keep you apprised of my progress via the newsletter, but feel free to check the website at any time to see how things progress. It will be an ambitious project, but I will enjoy the results once done. Do let me know of your thoughts and suggestions. And if you ever have questions regarding your family history, please ask. If I cannot locate an answer, my mother should be able to. She is a more avid genealogist and has access to much more information.
